Common questions

How do I cancel my subscription?

Open Reform and go to Settings → Manage Subscription. That opens Apple's subscription management directly, and cancelling takes one step. You can also cancel from your Apple Account settings.

Cancelling stops future charges. You keep access for the rest of the period you already paid for. To avoid being charged for the next period, cancel at least 24 hours before it starts.

How do I get a refund?

All purchases are handled by Apple, so refunds are requested from Apple rather than from us. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple Account. Email us if you get stuck and we'll help you through it.

How do I restore my subscription on a new device?

Open Reform and go to Settings → Restore Purchases, signed in with the same Apple Account you subscribed with.

How do I delete my data?

Most of what Reform holds — your journal, streak, check-ins, and reasons — is stored only on your device, so deleting the app deletes it. We hold no copy and cannot recover it.

If you used Community or Accountability Partner, delete the server-side data from Settings → Account → Delete my account. You don't need to contact us or explain why.

How do I export my data?

Settings → Export produces a PDF summary or a complete JSON file, generated on your device. We never receive a copy. We'd suggest doing this before changing phones, since we can't restore anything for you.

Content blocking isn't working. Why?

Reform's blocking uses Apple's Screen Time frameworks. It can stop working if Reform's Screen Time authorization was turned off in iOS Settings, if you're on a different device than the one you set it up on, or after some iOS updates. Check iOS Settings → Screen Time first, then re-run setup inside Reform.

Blocking is a support tool that makes an impulsive decision harder. It is not absolute and can be turned off at the operating system level. See our Terms of Service for the full limitations.

I forgot my app PIN.

The PIN is stored in your device's secure storage and we have no way to see or reset it. If you can't get in, you'll need to delete and reinstall the app, which also deletes the on-device data.

How do I report something in Community?

Every post and message has a report control, and you can block another user at any time. You can also email us. We act on reports within 24 hours.

Something else?

Email support@reformapp.org and tell us what's happening. If it's about a bug, letting us know your iPhone model and iOS version helps.

If you're in crisis

Reform is not an emergency service and we can't respond to emergencies. If you're in danger or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 in the United States to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, or call 911.
